Top Ten Tuesday: Books to read this Autumn

toptentuesday Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish (click the image to visit them) who pick a different topic each week.

This week the topic is: Top ten books on my Autumn to-be-read list

Some of these are my reads for Horror October, and some are just the ones at the top of my TBR pile.

  1. Very interesting list! I keep putting off the Throne of Glass series because all of the books aren’t out and I hate starting unfinished series. I have yet to read a King book and that one sounds good.

    1. I took me a while to get into ToG but they’re addictive so waiting might be a good idea! And no King…ever? Woah. You should, you totally should! I like how different this one sounds to his other books.

  2. You have some books I’m not familiar with on your list, which is a good thing! I haven’t read Mr. Mercedes yet either, and I definitely want to read The Ghosts of Heaven.

  3. Yay, I’m not the only person who prefers the word Autumn. GO US!!! I haven’t heard of THE GIRL WHO WALKED ON AIR but I need to look into it. NOW. Oooh, DOLL BONES is deliciously creepy, so perfect for October! And HEIR OF good!!!!!!!!! *mush* Enjoy all of your books! πŸ™‚
I think I’m going to read HER DARK CURIOSITY by Megan Shephard finally this October!

    1. Haha well I’m British and we don’t use ‘Fall’ at all…but yeah..Autumn is totally where it’s at πŸ˜‰

Deffo look into The Girl Who Walked on Air if you like YA and Children’s book – I loved her first one called Frost Hollow Hall.

Oooh I’ve heard of Her Dark Curiosity but haven’t read it either. I’ll have to check it out.

    1. No, Coraline was Neil Gaiman but it definitely has that same vibe! I’ve been told it’s pretty creepy so I’d definitely screen it first πŸ˜‰

  4. Woohoo!! Horror October, excellent! πŸ˜€

And pleeeease read Aristotle and Dante. Whenever I see someone mention possibly reading it my heart kind of does a flip because I remember clutching the book to my chest in my recliner chair and crying at the end. That book was beautiful.
