Welcome to another WWW Wednesday! Here are my answers this week:

WWWHO3

Currently Reading:
I’ve just started Ice Massacre by Tiana Warner. Not much to report so far but I’m really intrigued by the premise.

A mermaid’s supernatural beauty serves one purpose: to lure a sailor to his death.

The Massacre is supposed to bring peace to Eriana Kwai. Every year, the island sends its warriors to battle these hostile sea demons. Every year, the warriors fail to return. Desperate for survival, the island must decide on a new strategy. Now, the fate of Eriana Kwai lies in the hands of twenty battle-trained girls and their resistance to a mermaid’s allure.

Recently Finished:
I’ve been on a bit of a Horror October roll and have finished Doll Bones by Holly Black, Printer’s Devil Court by Susan Hill and Dark Satanic Mills by Julian and Marcus Sedgwick this week. All reviews will be up soon, Doll Bones, hopefully tomorrow.

Up Next:
More Horror October madness in the shape of Killer Spiders by Lex Sinclair (shudder) or Wakening the Crow by Stephen Gregory.

I hope you guys are enjoying Horror October so far! I haven’t been able to post or read as much as I’d have liked due to annoying life things but I will catch up, promise. It’s only week 1 afterall!

WWWHO2

Currently Reading:
I’m almost done with Doll Bones by Holly Black, which I’m enjoying but not loving. Dolls totally creep me out, but so far it just hasn’t been creepy enough!

Recently Finished:
I finished Stephen King’s Needful Things. It wasn’t my favourite by him but I’m still not sure if I just wasn’t in the mood.

Up Next:
Next will be graphic novel Dark Satanic Mills by Marcus & Julian Sedgwick, or Ice Massacre by Tiana Warner. I really want to read The Maze Runner too, before I see the film… but that be would throwing another spanner in the Horror October works. Gah!

It may be hump day again, but it’s also October – and you know what that means – it’s Horror October time!

Look out for my intro post a little later today, but in the mean time, here’s what I’ve been up to this past week.

wwwho

Currently Reading:
I’m reading Needful Things by Stephen King which I’m struggling with to be honest, but I will persevere!

Recently Finished:
I just finished Rush of Shadows by Catherine Bell which was really good, if not slightly depressing. My review will be part of the blog tour stopping here on the 14th. More info on the side bar.

Up Next:
My next Horror October read will be Doll Bones by Holly Black.

We’ve made it to another Wednesday – Hurrah!

Here are my answers this week:

wwwcoll

Currently Reading: I’m reading Rush of Shadows by Catherine Bell for an upcoming blog tour, which is about the clash of natives and settlers in 19th century California. Early stages but it’s really interesting so far. I think it’s going to be an emotional one.

I also started Needful Things by Stephen King which is my first Horror October read. It’s sooooo long and the font is sooooo small – such a shock after all the YA I’ve been reading – but I’m sure it’ll be worth it!

Recently Finished: I finished How I Live Now by Meg Rosoff which was both thought-provoking and great. My review will be up at the weekend.

Up Next: I’ll be reading Doll Bones by Holly Black next. A definite answer for once! (Wonder if I can stick to it!?)

Leave the link to your post and I’ll do my best to come and take a look!

Currently Reading: I’m reading How I Live Now by Meg Rosoff which is totally not what I was expecting but I’m liking it a lot.

Recently Finished: This week I finished Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead, which I’ll review at the weekend, and Of Scars and Stardust by Andrea Hannah, which I LOVED SO HARD, and reviewed on Monday.

Up Next: Ahh I honestly have no idea this time. I have lots of ARCs and also need to start on my Horror October reads…if only I could decide on what they are!

Recently Finished: Last week I finished Prince of Thorns by Mark Lawrence which I’ve only just got round to reviewing. It’ll be up tomorrow. I also finished Trust in Me by Sophie McKenzie which I really liked (and it’s out tomorrow). Click on the link for my review.

Up Next: Probably How I live Now, or Back to Blackbrick , but of course, you never know!

It’s that time of the week again! Here are my answers to the 3 W’s…

wwwcoll

Currently Reading:
This week I started Trust in Me by Sophie McKenzie. It’s a psychological thriller/murder mystery with a strong friendship theme and I’m really liking it so far.

And, after weeks of it being my ‘up next’ book I finally picked up Shadow Kiss (Vampire Academy #3) by Richelle Mead. I haven’t actually read any of it yet but that’s besides the point. It’s in my handbag, at the ready!

Recently Finished:
I finished She is not Invisible by Marcus Sedgwick, which I gave all the unicorns to (click the link for my review), and Prince of Thorns by Mark Lawrence which I had mixed feelings about.

Up Next:
Next on the ARC front is Of Scars and Stardust by Andrea Hannah. I also have Back to Blackbrick by Sarah Moore Fitzgerald, and How I Live Now which friends have lent to me. BUT, I need to get back to my TBR pile for the challenge I’m doing. Gah!

Leave your link and I’ll come see your answers!

Happy Wednesday, Everyone! I feel like I’m on a good book roll at the moment – let’s hope it continues.

www1

Currently Reading:
Prince of Thorns by Mark Lawrence. Nothing to report on this one yet, but I’m looking forward to my first foray into the so-called Grimdark world.

Recently Finished:
This week I finished Endgame by James Frey which was batshit – in good way – click the link for the review I posted yesterday, and She is not Invisible by Marcus Sedgwick which I also loved. Yay! Good book week 🙂 Review for the latter will be up soon.

Up Next:
As always, I’m not entirely sure but it will probably be Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead (I know I keep saying that!) or How I live Now by Meg Rosoff.

It’s time for another WWW Wednesday!

www1

Currently Reading:
I’m at the business end of Endgame: The Calling by James Frey & Nils Johnson Shelton. It’s a high-concept, interactive book that I’m loving even if it’s making me feel a bit stupid. WHAT DO THESE CLUES MEAN?

Recently Finished:
Ever Near by Melissa MacVicar. I really enjoyed this YA modern ghost story with a bit of romance thrown in. Let’s call it the #HotStepBrother factor.

Up Next:
Getting my hands on Endgame was a surprise so it’s thrown me off track slightly. Therefore my next one will still either be Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead, Prince of Thorns by Mark Lawrence or She is Not Invisible by Marcus Sedgwick. I also really need to start Of Scars and Stardust for an ARC deadline. I requested it for the title alone.

Holy Crap! How is it Wednesday again already?

That aside, here are my answers this week.

wwwcoll
Currently Reading:
I’m almost finished with Ever Near by Melissa MacVicar, which is a really easy and enjoyable read about a girl who is being troubled by ghosts.

Recently Finished:
Godmother by Carolyn Turgeon. I didn’t get on with it at all and gave up about 50 pages before the end. My rather grumpy review will be up tomorrow.

Up Next:
I really don’t know what I’m in the mood for, but probably either Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead, She’s Not Invisible by Marcus Sedgwick or Prince of Thorns by Mark Lawrence.
