To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…

• What are you currently reading? • What did you recently finish reading? • What do you think you’ll read next?

I’ve been so busy this past week, and at the weekend I had an amazing time at a friend’s Hen Party weekend in Wales. That does mean, however that I’ve had hardly no reading and/or blogging time so I’m trying to play catch up right now!

Anyway, here’s what I’ve been not-reading….

Currently Reading: I’m still reading Take Back the Skies by Lucy Saxon, which I was just about to start this time last week. I’m about a 3rd of the way through, and I’m enjoying it a lot.

Recently Finished: The last one I finished was The Prisoner of Brenda by Bateman which I still haven’t reviewed. But will ASAP.

Up Next: The Apple Tart of Hope by Sarah Moore Fitzgerald. This is an ARC review book but it’s out in 2 days. Ahhhhh so behind.

I didn’t even watch Game of Thrones on Monday because I was trying to catch up on reading. But I just fell asleep. MEGA FAIL.

Link me up to your posts and I’ll see how much better you all are than me 😉

To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…

• What are you currently reading? • What did you recently finish reading? • What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading: I’ve been in a bit of a reading slump of late. I think it’s a mixture of being busy at work and home, being ill (stupid cold just won’t budge) and not wanting to start anything substantial because I was waiting on the 3rd book in The Selection Series, but IT STILL HASN’T ARRIVED. They’ll be a whole a post on this so I’ll just continue that rant in my head for now.

So basically, I gave up on waiting for The One, and started You’re the One That I Want which is my next ARC to be reviewed, but I wasn’t really feeling it. So eventually I reached for my go-to book when I’m feeling a bit meh…yes my friends, it’s Twilight time. Which works out perfectly because it’s also one of the books in my reread challenge. Hurrah.

And as always, it’s worked in pulling me out of my reading slump and I’m starting to enjoy the other one too.

Recently Finished: The last one I finished was After Wimbledon, which I finally got round to reviewing here.

Up Next: I would say The One, BUT IT’S NEVER GOING TO ARRIVE. So I don’t know. I have lots of review request books, and ARCs to get through as ever. AND a TBR pile challenge that is going terribly (1 BOOK SO FAR!)

Wednesday, already! And, just one more day to go until a lonnnnnnnnnnng weekend for me! If you can’t tell, I’m very excited about this!

Anyway, here’s what I’ve been up to this week and just look how pretty these covers are together!!

Currently Reading: After much indecision between this and Scarlet, I started Insurgent. I had to after watching the Divergent film – which I’m doing a quick post about soon.

Recently Finished: Dark Eden by Chris Beckett which was…I don’t even know….I’m trying to put my thoughts in order! And The Selection Stories by Kiera Cass which I reviewed here.

Up Next: Definitely Scarlet by Marissa Meyer! I also have After Wimbledon by Jennifer Gilby Roberts which I keep pushing back (sorry!!!), and Cutlass by Ashley Nixon for a blog tour in a week or so. Busy, busy.

Leave your link and I’ll come visit 🙂

March Finds

This is a monthly post where I share some of the books that I’ve found through fellow bloggers that I HAD to add to my wishlist immediately. I’m hoping I’ll look back on these posts and remember to buy/request the books (wishful thinking!).

I’m still working on reducing my TBR pile, not increasing it, but these are the books I found in March that reeeealllly want to buy!

Click on the links to go to the original posts.

Found on: Tempest Books
Why: There’s a prince called Tristan (swoon), plus the Cover!

Found on: Exploring All Genres
Why: I can see boobs and Buffy…nuff said.

Found on: MegaMad 4 Books
Why: I haven’t read any of Melissa’s books yet but I’ve seen some of The Witches of East End TV show and liked what I saw. This Vampire series of hers sounds good!

Why: This book set in the 60s and 70s about Intersex/gender identity looks amazing. I can’t believe I’ve never seen it before.

March 2014 on Lipsyy Lost & Found

Well that was another ridiculously quick month. Nearly all the books I read were ARCs in an attempt to catch up, so this month I’m looking forward to reading some of the books on my shelves. I also went to my first book launch, and got a pay rise at work. Winning!

    Books Purchased/ ARCs Received:

I FINALLY got round to buying these beauties. I love that they are all blue-ish too. So pretty, I just want to stroke them.

And I was really good as far as Netgalley is concerned and only requested this:

The author is mainly famous for being Tom from Mcfly’s other half and this is her second novel. I didn’t read her first one, Billy and Me but it got some decent reviews so I thought I’d give it a go. It looks like a fun spring/summer read.

February 2014 on Lipsyy Lost & Found

Woah February went quick ey? I didn’t get through as many books as I wanted to, but I went to Iceland, revamped my flat as I now have it all to myself, and my parents came to help/visit. So all in all, it’s been an excellent, if not busy one!
